ROYSTON FIVE YEAR RELOCATION PLAN COMPLETED

Robinson Layer has completed a five year relocation plan on behalf of Royston Labels.

Robinson Layer has completed a five year relocation plan on behalf of Royston Labels who have consolidated their occupation of five industrial units with the acquisition and total refurbishment of 17-20 Greenfield on the Orchard Road estate.  This building totals over 60,000 sq ft on a two acre site.

Mark Robinson of the agents said: “We have now disposed of the former premises, including three freeholds.  Demand has been steady, reflecting, in some ways, the lack of reasonably priced units in the Cambridge area.

“Three of the units offered for sale were in Orchard Road. Units 3 and 4 are a mid-terrace double unit totalling 7,315 sq ft  and have been sold to Jamie Porter who owns the Alfa Romeo dealership opposite.  The price tag was £535,000.  Opposite these, Unit 18 Orchard Road has been sold to MI Broadcast Ltd from Cherry Hinton.  An end of terrace unit of 3,220 sq ft plus mezzanine of 670 sq ft, it was offered on a 968 year lease at £275,000.

“Around the corner, the  2,185 sq ft unit 6 at the rear of 24 Jarman and the adjacent Unit 7 of 1,615 sq ft, have also been sold subject to contract, having attracted a high level of interest, going to best and final offers with eight bids on each. They sold materially above the asking prices.

“To complete the relocation programme, Royston Labels have just handed back Units 5/7 Jarman Way to the landlord following a series of lease extensions.

“What has been shown by this complex series of transactions is the level of demand for commercial space in this key area of Royston.”
