SUCCESSFULLY JUGGLING RETAIL SPACE IN SAWSTON
Robinson Layer has been successfully juggling retail space in Sawston over the last four or five months in a property managed by them.
An initial vacancy in the prominent block of retail units and offices at the junction of High Street and Mill Lane has led to several existing tenants moving into larger premises in the scheme and new occupiers taking the vacated units.
The latest letting is 8 Mill Lane which has been taken by East Roast Coffee Ltd who are setting up a coffee shop. This unit was previously occupied by Halo hairdressers who relocated from it to a much larger unit at 6 Mill Lane.
Robinson Layer also relocated Browns Barbers from the High Street side of the property to a corner unit at 2 Mill Lane and has now let the 304 sq ft former Browns unit at 48a High Street to The East of England Co-operative Ltd, as a showroom for their funeral care division.
Jonathan Lager for the agents said: “This has been a remarkable programme of moves and upgradings, showing a strong level of confidence among smaller retailers.”
