WINSHIP HOUSE FLYING OFF THE SHELF

Marketing of Winship House, former HQ of Cambridge News, has produced a further letting of 4,500 sq ft to a leading accountancy firm, PEM.

This follows the leasing of a similar area of space to Azuri Technologies in December and nearly 2,600 sq ft in a separate warehouse at the rear of the site to Autoglass for a regional depot.

Mark Robinson of the agents, Robinson Layer, said: “We are quite pleased, getting just over 10,000 sq ft into occupation so quickly.  We are now in the process of refurbishing the first floor of just under 9,000 sq ft, which will be available as a whole or split into two or three units down to about 3,000 sq ft.”

The latest letting is to 4Cambridge, a sister business of PEM based in Station Road, central Cambridge.  Jon Stanton, Director of 4Cambridge, said: “Since we launched this company in April 2017, providing IT support services to SMEs across the region, we have been taking on new business and have now outgrown the current offices.

“We have plans to further expand our team and the extra space at Winship House will allow us to do this.  Moving out of Station Road also frees up space there for PEM to continue their growth within the City.  The good transport links and newly renovated facilities at Winship House were both big attractions for us, and we look forward to moving in shortly.”

Winship House is in Milton on the north side of Cambridge, close to the A14 interchange and just across the A14 from Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge Business Park and the North Cambridge rail station development.  Mark Robinson said that it offers Grade A fully air conditioned office space with plenty of parking, at rents and business rates two thirds the cost of those nearby science and business parks.  The asking rent for the refurbished first floor offices will be ready in the Spring at a rent of £19.50 per sq ft.
